Comprehensive information on every procedure I perform

01

Breast Augmentation

Silicone implant placement tailored precisely to each patient's anatomy, lifestyle and expectations. Consultation includes Crisalix 3D imaging to preview the expected result.

What to expect

Performed under general anaesthetic, lasting 1–1.5 hours. Basic recovery 7–10 days; strenuous exercise restricted for approximately one month.

02

Breast Reduction

Volume and mass reduction preserving natural proportions. Performed using the Friedman-Borenstein technique, characterised by minimal scarring and long-lasting results. Full page on breast reduction →

What to expect

Performed under general anaesthetic, lasting 2–4 hours. All operations are performed as day surgery, patients are discharged the same day, and drains are not used routinely. Recovery is easier than after breast augmentation, since the pectoralis muscle and its fascia are not manipulated and the tissues are not stretched or expanded. Most patients operated on before the weekend are driving and managing ordinary daily activity, including desk work, within a few days. Full recovery takes several weeks with ongoing improvement in scarring.

Patients using GLP-1 medications or those following significant weight loss may require specific pre-operative planning. Weight loss surgery →

03

Implant Exchange

Removal of existing implants with corrective surgery as required and placement of new implants. Full page on implant exchange →

What to expect

Recovery depends on what the operation actually includes: a straightforward implant exchange differs from one combined with capsular surgery, pocket correction or breast reshaping. In general recovery from these operations is easier than from primary augmentation, since the pectoralis muscle is not manipulated and the tissues are not stretched or expanded. Transition between different implant types, sizes or positions is possible and discussed at the pre-operative consultation.

04

Implant Explantation & Breast Reshaping

A unique specialty combining implant removal with full breast contouring and reshaping. Personalised surgical planning preserves volume, stability and natural aesthetics where possible.

What to expect

Performed under general anaesthetic. May incorporate mastopexy (breast lift) techniques for optimal outcomes. Crisalix 3D imaging is offered at the pre-operative consultation.

05

Breast Reconstruction

Post-mastectomy reconstruction using diverse techniques including implants, autologous tissue and combined methods. Full coordination with the oncology team is maintained throughout.

What to expect

Reconstruction may involve multiple surgical stages. All options — including nipple reconstruction — are discussed at the initial consultation.

06

Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty addresses excess skin and weakened abdominal muscles following pregnancy, significant weight loss or age-related changes. The procedure removes redundant skin, tightens the abdominal wall and reshapes the contour.

Dr. Friedman performs abdominoplasty using a multi-level approach that addresses the abdominal wall as a system of distinct anatomical layers. This framework supports systematic, individualised planning adapted to each patient's tissue characteristics and goals. Full page on abdominoplasty →

What to expect

Performed under general anaesthetic, lasting 2–4 hours. Recovery takes several weeks, with strenuous activity restricted for 4–8 weeks. The procedure can be combined with other surgery when appropriate.

07

Surgery after Weight Loss

The widespread adoption of GLP-1 medications has created a growing patient population seeking plastic surgery following significant weight loss. These patients present distinct surgical and metabolic considerations: the body may be in a different nutritional state than typical, and skin loses elasticity differently from post-bariatric weight loss.

Dr. Friedman researches and publishes in this field. His clinical experience includes breast reduction, implant explantation and abdominoplasty in patients using GLP-1 medications, and he brings evidence-based planning to the consultation process.

Important pre-operative considerations

GLP-1 medications should be discontinued according to the treating physician's guidance before surgery. Nutritional status — particularly albumin levels — should be confirmed as adequate. Surgical planning is adapted to the specific characteristics of this patient population.

08

Skin Lesion Removal

Surgical excision of cysts, suspicious moles, lipomas, keloids and benign lesions with appropriate margins. All specimens are sent for pathological analysis.

What to expect

Performed under local anaesthetic as an outpatient procedure, typically lasting 20–30 minutes. Pathology results are available within 10–14 days.
